American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP) – CHEST

Founded in 1935, the College has always been in the forefront of cardiopulmonary medicine and is the leading resource for the improvement in cardiopulmonary health and critical care worldwide. Its mission is to promote the prevention and treatment of diseases of the chest through leadership, education, research, and communication. ACCP maintains a close relationship with government agencies that affect chest medicine, such as the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, and the Food and Drug Administration. The College's efforts are focused on promoting prevention and treatment of diseases of the chest through leadership, education, research, and communication.
